For Dual Band HAM Radio Hand Held Radios. You need one of these to get maximum optimized performance from your Hand Held Radio! This is technically a Counterpoise but is nick-named "Tiger-Tail" . Installs on multiple radios in seconds. It helps to complete your antenna making it more like a dipole. G reatly improve both transmit & receive on your radio . Has a separate tuned element for 2M, & 70cm (146MHz, & 440 MHz) bands. You can expect 3-6 dB gain increase in transmit & receive. Constructed with the highest grade materials . Features silicone insulated ultra flex wire with 252 solid copper conductors that are silver plated for the tuned sections. Complete with a commercial grade gold plated SMA adapter that has negligible insertion loss at HAM frequencies (the adapters we use are rated at 26.5 GHz and tested at 18 GHz give an insertion loss of only -0.045 dB). Works for both Baofeng style (SMA Male Center Pin on Radio) & Yaesu style Radios (SMA Female Pin Socket on Radio). Available for Radios with BNC style connectors ( contact us ).
